Rankin County maintains a satellite office in Richland City Hall, in an effort to make services more convenient for the residents of Richland and Southern Rankin County. Drive-thru and walk-in services are provided for purchasing and renewing automobile tags and paying taxes. The drive-thru window is located on the north side of Richland City Hall. The hours of operation for the satellite office are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.

NOTE: New cars bought within the state- Tags must be purchased within seven (7) days of purchase. New cars bought outside of the state – Tags must be purchased within nine (9) days of the purchase. Tags must be purchased within thirty (30) days of your move to the county.
